Kick off the month right with American rock band Kansas. The group rose to popularity in the 1970’s with chart-topping songs like “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind,” that still remain popular to this day. See the prolific band perform at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
Get ready to laugh until you cry; Bill Maher is coming to the Brady Theater on July 7th. Maher is most well-known for his popular political talk show on HBO, Real Time with Bill Maher. He is lauded as one of the top comedians of all time, taking on such topics as politics, religion, the media, and more. Bill Maher will be in Tulsa filming his upcoming stand-up special for HBO.
Grammy award-winning rapper and hip-hop artist Pitbull is coming to Tulsa. Rising up from the streets of Miami, Mr. Worldwide has been able to exemplify the American dream and achieve global success as a musician and entrepreneur. Inspired by his hometown, Pitbull’s unique sound will make you want to get up and party. Get ready to dance the night away at the Paradise Cove on July 7th.
Journey and Def Leppard
Two titans of classic rock will be heading to the BOK Center this July for a once in a lifetime concert. American rock band Journey is one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time and is best known for tunes like “Don’t Stop Believin’ ” and “Any Way You Want It.” Def Leppard was one of the pioneers of the new wave British heavy metal movement. They are also one of the world’s best-selling music groups with hits like “Love Bites” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”
Boy George, Culture Club, and the B-52’s
Ready for a throwback to the 80’s? Well, then you’re in luck! Classic 80’s groups Boy George, Culture Club, and the B-52’s will be performing live at Paradise Cove on July 12. Relive the glory days and dance your heart out to songs like “Karma Chameleon,” “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me,” “Love Shack,” “Rock Lobster,” and so many more.
Tulsa Drillers vs. Arkansas Travelers
Nothing says summer fun quite like baseball! Come down to the ONEOK Field and see Tulsa’s very own minor league baseball team, the Tulsa Drillers. The team will face off against the Arkansas Travelers a few days this month on the 15th through the 18th. Gather the whole family for a day of fresh air, sportsmanship, and a whole lot of fun.
Sugarland, Frankie Ballard, and Lindsay Ell
Country duo Sugarland returns to Tulsa on their Still the Same 2018 Tour. This award-winning group is made up of singer-songwriters Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush who have produced number one singles like “Want To” and “Settlin’.” They will be performing at the BOK Center on July 19th with special guests Frankie Ballard and Lindsay Ell.
Legendary standup comedian Gabriel Iglesias (aka Fluffy) will be bringing his unique comedic talent to Tulsa this July. His material often focuses on food, race, Mexican American culture, and everyday life. As one of the most popular comedians working in the country today, you can be sure to have a good time watching him perform. He will be bringing his world tour, “One Show Fits All,” to the Paradise Cove on July 20.
Niall Horan and Maren Morris
Most notably known as one-fifth of the extremely popular boy band One Direction, Niall Horan is taking his musical talent solo and hitting the road with Maren Morris for a worldwide tour. The Flicker World Tour follows the release of his first studio album, Flicker, which contained hits like “Slow Hands” and “Too Much To Ask.” Maren Morris is a singer-songwriter whose music combines aspects of hard country, rock and roll, and hip-hop pop music. This is sure to be a one-of-a-kind show that you won’t want to skip.
Beijing Dance Theater
For an evening of culture and dance, you won’t want to miss out on seeing the Beijing Dance Theater. The BDT is led by choreographer Wang Yuanyuan and visual artists Tan Shaoyuan and Hanjiang. The show features a stunning combination of contemporary, modern dance and traditional Chinese traditions. The show will take place this July 19 at the Chapman Music Hall, so buy your tickets today.
