Another year over and another year of great events has begun. 2018 promises many wonderful things to look forward to. With big-name concerts, charity events, and food festivals all heading to Tulsa, it is hard not to get excited. There any many fantastic concerts and events scheduled for this year that reducing the list to only five doesn’t do justice to the many other great Tulsa events in 2018 not listed here. However, we’ve found a way to find five Tulsa events we are most looking forward to in 2018.
The Toyland Ball is an annual charity event hosted by The Parent Child Center of Tulsa. Each year, this black tie gala has dinner, dancing, a live auction, and a different fantastical theme.This year’s theme is Under the Sea. The Parent Child Center of Tulsa works tirelessly to protect and care for children in the area who are at risk of abuse and neglect. This single event is responsible for raising 16 percent of The Parent Child Center’s overall operating budget. At the Toyland Ball, you can have a good time and do some good at the same time. Lorde Melodrama World Tour
International pop star Lorde has just announced the dates for her 2018 Melodrama World Tour and she will be stopping in Tulsa at the BOK Center on March 21. The New Zealand-born singer-singer writer first rose to prominence in the mainstream with hits like “Royals” and “Team.” Her newest studio album, Melodrama, was released summer 2017 and has been hailed as the “best album of the year.” Her tour will feature songs from her new album and a truly unique performance you simply have to see to understand.
Garrison Keillor Just Passing Through
American author and humorist Garrison Keillor is bringing his live stage show to Tulsa this upcoming April. Keillor is perhaps best known as the creator and host of the popular Minnesota Public Radio show A Prairie Home Companion. He has also gone on to write such books as Lake Wobegon Days and The Book of Guys. Now, he is heading out on a solo tour across the country. He will be performing his live Just Passing Through tour at the Brady Theater.
Legion LIVE! 2018
America’s oldest continuously operating American Legion Post hosts the yearly festival event: Legion LIVE. This is a fundraiser with FREE admission that raises money to benefit the American Legion Post 1 and Tulsa area veterans and their families. The all day event features live music from local and national acts from morning until midnight. However, Legion LIVE is much more than just a concert. It is a family friendly event that people of all ages can enjoy. In past years, they have had a car show, kid’s zone, special guest speakers, a silent auction, vendors, and more. Wine, Eats, and Easels
Wine, Eats, and Easels is an annual event that takes place on the first Friday of every October. The event brings together food, wine, beer, music, and art all to raise money for the Broken Arrow Neighbors. Enjoy a wine and beer tasting as you wander your way through the displays of local artists and musical acts. Purchase a few tasty treats or a new artwork for your home. Regardless of what you do at this charity festival, you will enjoy it. This event is always fun; you will spend all year waiting for the next year’s Wine, Eats, and Easels.
